So, if I ever get married, I fully expect a catmobile.
One of the other reasons why they gave cats to each other was for their valuable skills as mousers. Cats were able to control rodent populations around their properties.
Also, Norse myths are thought to have the earliest literary descriptions of the Norwegian Forest Cat. They were described as large, strong cats that drew Freya’s chariot and were so heavy that not even Thor, God of Thunder, could lift them from the floor. (Source)

They kinda live up to the legend, too. Your average Norwegian Forest Cat is twenty pounds of solid muscle, with claws large and strong enough to climb solid rock. They’ve been known to attack bears when defending their territory. And yet they’re one of the cuddliest breeds out there, particularly noted for being patient with small children.
I have a Norwegian mix, and can attest that she is the cuddliest cat but also insane enough to try and fight a bear.
Viking cats “FIGHT ME”
Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, still could not lift this cat.
I always love it when this post comes round because a) giant kitties who Thor can’t lift and b) that picture omg boar riding and flower throwing is a good thing
just some thoughts but “fiction affects reality” and “fiction isn’t reality” are ideas that really really can and should coexist
lets imagine you’re running a dnd game, and one of your friends tells you they wanna play an evil-aligned character who’s prone to doing some really, seriously fucked up shit.
“fiction isnt reality” is why I’m not gonna automatically assume that’s a direct indicator of their personal morals and that they’re a horrible, fucked up irl (unless, of course, in the unfortunate but less likely event that they prove themself otherwise). a game of dnd is just fiction and it can be a safe space to explore topics and characters like those.
but “fiction affects reality” is why they have to check in with the other players about what they are and aren’t comfortable seeing that character do in-game. like seeing them shoot a random dude for his money could be fine but seeing them torture the dude is... a little too much. it could have a negative effect on the mental health of the other players.
fiction definitely is a safe space to explore taboo and problematic topics in but you still gotta be mindful of the people around you and how what you do or write could potentially harm them. you gotta be respectful of what people are comfortable and uncomfortable with seeing, and realize that, no matter the situation, there will always be definite lines you can cross.
↳ good morning, indeed.

You awaken slowly, pulled from your slumber by a force that you have no name for, your back arching off the mattress and your legs quivering with pleasure. Your lips part in a silent groan as you reach down, eyes fluttering as you grasp blindly at the dark head of hair working determinedly between your spread thighs.
“J-Jung—?” The syllables escape you in scarcely more than a whimper. Your fingers find purchase around the soft little ponytail that sits messily atop his head, tangling in the silky strands. “Jungk—nnngh.”
Your tormentor pulls away for the briefest of seconds, and you keen at the momentary loss of his wet mouth. “Shh,” he breathes, chuckling lowly when you jolt. “It’ll feel really good soon.”
